Chapter 6

Kagome woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs. She licked her lips and followed her nose to were the aroma was coming from. When she got to the kitchen she nearly dropped her jaw. Standing at the stove was Sesshomaru cooking eggs and eating a peice of bacon. Thats not what shoked her, nope it was the fact that Sesshomaru was standing in nothing but a pair of grey sweatpants. Yep just the sweats, she knew he wasn't wearing underwear because the pants were sagging quit low. So low infact when he turned to ask her if she was hungry she could see the start to his v cut. Trying not to drool she nodded, so he wouldn't think she was staring she closed her eyes and faked a yawn.

It was in vain because he knew she was staring and he liked it. He could smell the slight arousal on her. It was doing things to him that he didnt want to happen at this particular moment so he changed the subject. "Do you like bacon?"

"Yeah." She answered, "Is it alright if I go get cleaned up? I have to get ready for school, I should be getting home soon."

"I got an outfit for you for your birthday next month its in my room, you can have it know so you can eat. Go get cleaned up and I'll set the clothes on my bed." Sesshomaru said over his shoulder as he continued making eggs.

"Thanks." Kagome shot over her shoulder as she went to get cleaned up before breakfest. She had about an hour before school starts and she was sure Sesshomaru wouldnt mind taking her so she didnt have to leave here for another 45 minutes.

After her shower she brushed her teeth, then hair and put it up in a high pony tail. Then did her makeup. When she was finished getting the important stuff done she went to Sesshomaru's room and found the outfit on his bed as promised. She got dressed in the outfit that Sesshomaru bought her, it was a pink and black checkered skirt that went to just above her knees and a black tanktop with happy bunny on it. In pink writing it said 'I did it but I'm blaiming you.'

She had told him she wanted this outfit forever, but she never thought he would actually get it for him, though she didnt know he had a job until recently.

After finishing her outfit with her black and pink skater shoes, she went to the kitchen for the food she had been drooling over sence she woke up.

When she walked in the kitchen Sesshomaru was on his way to the dining area with there plates. "I thought we'd eat and then I can take you to school." Sesshomaru said placing her plate on the table, then his own.

"Sounds good. Umm... can we talk about last night?" Kagome asked a little nervous.

"What about, I thought we covered everything last night." Sesshomaru was confused , did she not mean what she said?

"Well I said that I loved you, and you said you do as well, but we didnt really get into what you mean by that." Kagome began moving her eggs back and forth with her fork.

"I ment that I have feelings for you, I have had feelings for you for a while now, which is part of the reason I stopped sleeping with you." Sesshomaru placed his hand over hers to stop the distruction of her eggs.

"What do you mean?" Kagome looked him in the eyes.

"When I first came to you, I slept on the floor most of the time. After your father passed away..." He paused to make sure she was okay talking about this. When she didnt make any sign she would not like him to continue, he finished. "I started holding you because I thought you needed the comfort, only in doing so, I fell in love with your scent. When a dog demon falls for a womans scent it means he is in love with the women. The problem was that you were still very young. I didn't want to scare you. So I kept it to my self, still holding you while you cried. Until I became of age two years ago. At 18 a dog demon becomes of age as they put it to take a mate. The problem is my beast had already choosen my mate."

"Oh, thats why you stopped sleeping with me, you didnt want to cheat on your mate." Kagome was dissapointed but tried not to show it.

"Kagome I stopped sleeping with you because I was afraid my beast would take my mate in his arousal by force if necessary." Sesshomaru took her hand in his, "I was afraid he might hurt you."

Kagome didnt understand at first what he ment, what did she have to do with his beast taking his mate, how would that hurt her. Unless he means mentally. Maybe he didnt want to hurt my feelings. "If you wanted to be with someone else you should have just told me I would have understood. It hurts more now knowing you've wanted someone else and settled for me because of some promise." She got up to leave. "I'll walk to school." She didnt want anything to do with him, he should have told her he didnt want her. Hes so dumb.

Kagome was just out the door and in the hallway when someone grabbed her arm and pulled her against there firm chest.

"Let go of me Sessh, I don't want to talk to you right now." She tried to pull her arm free only to have the person tighten on it more. "OW! That hurts let go you big jerk!" She spun around to give him a much needed wack and was shocked at what she saw.

"I guess its a good thing Im not Sesshomaru then, Huh?" The man with long silver hair said. The last thing she remebered hearing was Sesshomaru opening the door to his apartment and saying her name. Then everything went black.

Sesshomaru was a little confuse at her outburst, after she got up he was stuck in a stupor. He couldnt figure out why she thought he wanted someone else, he just told her that he didn't want his beast to hurt her. Meaning taking her by force.' Unles she thought I was meaning hurting her feelings. Oh crap, why cant I ever say what I mean? My words always get so twisted.' Sesshomaru thought as he got up from his seat and ran after Kagome.

When he got to the hallway she was nowhere to be found only her backpack and scent was left, along with the scent of someone else.

"Inuyasha." he growled.
